A contemplative landscape installation in the Tuscan hills of Peccioli that merges architecture, art, and nature into a unified experiential environment — sculptural pavilions and pathways transform a natural site into a place of reflection and cultural gathering.
Commissioned by the Comune di Peccioli, the Park of Angels occupies a hillside site overlooking the rolling Tuscan countryside — a landscape of cypress groves, olive terraces, and medieval hilltop settlements. The project operates not as a conventional building but as a sequence of architectural interventions woven into the existing topography.
Landscape & Architecture
The design introduces a sequence of sculptural architectural elements embedded within the landscape, creating a series of spatial moments that invite visitors to explore the site through movement, light, and changing perspectives. Pathways and terraces guide visitors through the park while framing views across the surrounding countryside.
Site & Atmosphere
Rather than imposing a conventional architectural form, the project operates as a subtle intervention within the landscape, where built elements, vegetation, and topography work together to produce an atmosphere of calm and contemplation. The park functions simultaneously as a public cultural destination and a site-specific artistic environment.
Cultural Identity
The Park of Angels demonstrates the integration of architecture, landscape design, and public art to create a civic place that resonates with the cultural and natural identity of the Tuscan countryside.
