A multidimensional architectural icon and a living vitrine for the future of automotive design and mobility innovation, transforming the traditional showroom typology into an immersive urban experience.

As Hyundai accelerates its transition toward electric mobility and software-defined vehicles, the company sought a flagship facility in Seoul that could embody this shift in physical form. Asymptote’s design moves beyond the conventional automotive showroom — a static display floor — toward an immersive urban experience that merges technology, spectacle, and spatial experimentation, positioning the building as both a brand manifesto and a public destination.

Architecture & Urban Presence

Positioned within the dense fabric of Seoul, the building operates as both a civic landmark and a dynamic interface between brand and public. Its architecture embodies precision and fluidity, reflecting Hyundai’s commitment to technological advancement and forward-thinking design. Transparent layers and expansive interior volumes create a sense of openness, inviting visitors into a curated journey through innovation.

Exhibition & Technology

At the heart of the showroom is an advanced exhibition environment centered around rotating full-scale holographic vehicles. This pioneering feature allows visitors to experience Hyundai’s latest models — including pre-production concepts — from every angle, redefining how automobiles are presented and understood. The integration of holographic projection, VR, and AR testing zones further immerses visitors in Hyundai’s evolving technological ecosystem.

Spatial Experience

The interior unfolds as a continuous spatial narrative, where light, movement, and digital media converge. Interactive surfaces and immersive installations dissolve the boundary between physical object and virtual simulation, transforming the showroom into a laboratory of future mobility. More than a retail environment, the Hyundai Flagship is a brand manifesto in built form — an architectural platform that celebrates innovation, engages the public, and positions Hyundai at the forefront of global automotive culture.
