A next-generation international airport conceived as a civic landmark and monumental gateway to the futuristic megacity, integrating advanced mobility, environmental sustainability, and human-centered design within a bold spatial framework.
As part of a transformative infrastructure strategy, Asymptote Architecture has designed a 100,000-square-meter international airport whose organizational logic departs from the conventional terminal model. Rather than segregating landside and airside into discrete zones, the design structures the entire passenger sequence around a monumental central atrium — a canyon-like public space that merges natural landscape with dynamic circulation.
Terminal & Atrium
The architectural vision integrates advanced mobility, environmental sustainability, and human-centered design within a bold and iconic spatial framework. At the heart of the terminal is a monumental vertical oculus and atrium with a soaring light-filled volume that merges natural landscape with dynamic circulation, forming a central public realm unlike any other in global aviation.
Connectivity & Scalability
Surrounding this core are high-performance terminals, elevated transit connectors, and immersive passenger experiences designed to streamline movement while offering moments of spatial awe. The design model emphasizes modular scalability, future-ready adaptability, and seamless integration with the city’s broader mobility network, including The LINE and Hyperloop systems.
