A luxury private aviation terminal to be located at the Dubai Airport, designed for Arcosjet, combining top-tier bespoke interiors and hangars for advanced electric VTOL aircraft.
Asymptote Architecture’s design for the Arcosjet terminal, as the private aviation experience, seamlessly integrates luxury with advanced aviation infrastructure. The facility is conceived as both a functioning FBO (Fixed Base Operator) terminal and a showcase for the next generation of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
Architecture & Program
The building’s exterior presents a composition of stacked and shifted volumes clad in brushed metal panels and vertical louvers, creating a distinctive presence on the tarmac while filtering light and mitigating heat gain into the interior spaces. The internal program includes a grand multi-level lobby, VIP departure and arrival lounges, a private spa with a tarmac-facing reflective pool, an aircraft showroom, and direct tarmac-access corridors.
Interior Experience
Interior spaces are defined by a material palette of brushed stainless steel, marble, and warm wood accents, establishing an atmosphere akin to a five-star hotel rather than a conventional aviation terminal. The design positions Arcosjet as a brand at the intersection of architecture, mobility, and luxury travel, presenting the company with a building as a new typology for the era of electric aviation.
