Situated within the broader Changsha Eco-Tech City development along the Xiang River, Crystal World addresses the challenge of bringing winter sports culture to a subtropical climate. The project houses a full-scale indoor ski slope as its centerpiece, surrounded by year-round sports and leisure programs that establish the complex as a regional tourism destination and a catalyst for urban activity within the masterplan.

The architecture is organized around the dramatic interior volume of the ski slope, which forms the central spatial and visual focus of the complex.
