Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture Inducted into the National Academy of Design

Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture have been elected as National Academicians in the National Academy of Design's 2024 class — among 28 artists and architects recognized for bold and visionary contributions to contemporary art and architecture in the United States.

Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture, principals of Asymptote Architecture, have been inducted into the National Academy of Design as part of the 2024 class of National Academicians. They join 28 artists and architects elected to the academy as it approaches its 200th anniversary.

Their work will be featured in Kinetic Traces, an exhibition of the 2024 inductees at the academy’s newly relocated Chelsea gallery, running from June 12 through September 13, 2025. The exhibition showcases Asymptote Architecture’s projects including the ARC River Culture Multimedia Museum in Daegu, South Korea.
