# Asymptote Architecture

> Internationally acclaimed architecture practice founded by Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture, operating at the intersection of architecture, technology, and digital culture.

Asymptote Architecture was founded in Milan in 1988 and established in New York in 1989 by Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture. Over three decades the studio has produced built and unbuilt work across four continents spanning cultural institutions, museums, performing arts centers, transportation terminals, commercial headquarters, hospitality, residential towers, masterplans, interiors, and experimental works including installations, virtual environments, sculpture, and drawings.

Hani Rashid is Professor of Architecture at Columbia University GSAPP. Lise Anne Couture is Professor of Architecture at Parsons School of Design. Both principals lecture internationally and the practice has been widely published, exhibited, and recognized with major awards.
